The Breeders Award Program (BAP) exists to encourage members of the Minnesota Aquarium Society to breed fish and share knowledge concerning the spawning and rearing of fish. Additionally, it provides the means to recognize the achievements of Society members concerning the breeding. By requiring breeders to donate a bag of fry for auction, the program promotes an interest in and makes available a wider variety of species. Finally and not least, BAP seeks to build networks and camaraderie among aquarists who are active participants.
We welcome any aquarist who would like to try his/her hand at breeding fish and to join out network of fish breeders. For more information, please read the articles and rules in this BAP section. To inquire about joining as a breeder, contact the BAP Chair.
